Callers claim to be tax officials, make strong threats in new scam

A new telephone and email scam is popping up in New York State. Scammers posing as the IRS or Tax Department officials are calling New Yorkers, threatening fines, arrests, and even the loss of their home, if they don't pay back taxes immediately.
