Indiana man arrested at Newark airport after trying to carry assault rifle, ammo onto flight, cops allege

An Indiana man was arrested Wednesday evening at Newark International Airport after he tried to bring an assault rifle and 70 rounds of ammunition onto a Chicago-bound Southwest Airlines flight, a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman said.
